Where to, lady?
Jane just had a heart attack while shopping at the Broward Mall.
Now the nice paramedic is asking Jane which hospital Emergency Room she would like to visit for life-saving care.
"America has the finest free market health care system in the world," the paramedic tells Jane. "And part of the beauty is people with serious cardiac issues like you have a free choice regarding the emergency care vendor."
"Gosh," Jane gasps between breaths from her oxygen mask, "is this a great couuntry, or what?"
"No, Mam," the paramedic laughs. "None of that socialized-commie health care for us!"
Naturally, like most wise health care consumers, Jane is looking for the best bang for her heart attack buck.
Which is how and why Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration operates an easy to access internet site with all the information any penny-wise heart attack victim will need.
